Matt and Zach Are Cooling It

Michael L.

It is with some regret that I must announce that Matt and Zach of Huffington Post Monitor fame are moving on.

As Matt posted:
Our decision comes from a combination of other activities in our lives interesting us more, and the changes in the Huffington Post itself. Since the creation of the Huffington Post's new comment policy, the number of comments have gone way down in articles in general and especially Israel related ones. An Israel related article that once generated a hundred angry comments now results in five or six. On top of that, at least in the few past months, the Huffington Post has removed its laser focus on Israel that it's had for the past four years in favor of more "gotcha" type headlines about foreign celebrities and bloody shirt photos.
This does not mean that Matt and Zach will no longer be heard from, however.  It simply means that due to changes in their own lives, as well as changes with the Huffington Post, itself, that we will see something less of them.

I would still very much recommend that you guys drop into the Huff Post Monitor because the brothers have done an excellent job of analysis in the past and therefore we can expect them to continue to do so in the future, if perhaps on a more limited basis.

I suppose what I would like to see from these gentlemen, as they are backing off of Huff Post coverage in order to pursue other activities, is more general analysis of the Arab-Israel conflict.  They certainly know their material and are obviously not afraid to stand up and fight.

This is just a quick thanks for a thankless job well done.

A Big Tip 'O the Kippa to Matt and Zach.

Thanks for the memories, boys.

  2. Yeah, I saw that. Best wishes to them. The internet won't be the same without regular cracking on Perpetually Disgruntled Professional Former AIPAC Employee MJ Rosenberg.

People come and people go in the online game, I guess. Jon Haber has Divest This back up running at full speed again, in case anyone hadn't heard...

  3. I have to say, other than the Elder, I can think of no other bloggers who had the stomach for rolling around in anti-Semitic anti-Zionist muck as much they did.

I mean, gawd, every day reading those horrific comments in the bowels of a place that claims to stand for social justice.

I couldn't do it, I tell you that.

    I wouldn't stop throwing up.
