The Nerve of the Guy!

Doodad

The Egyptian President says "the United States needed to fundamentally change its approach to the Arab world, showing greater respect for its values and helping build a Palestinian state, if it hoped to overcome decades of pent-up anger."

Hopefully some strong Americans will tell him where to shove it.

  1. From the NYT article:

He praised Mr. Obama for moving “decisively and quickly” to support the Arab Spring revolutions, and he said he believed that Americans supported “the right of the people of the region to enjoy the same freedoms that Americans have.”

    Exactly.

It's interesting to me that Morsi's rhetoric reflects the rhetoric of progressives (pretending to be liberals).

Obama did support the so-called "Arab Spring" and the Arab Spring does, in fact, represent the will of the Arab peoples for Sharia.

Thus Copts are under increasing persecution, Israel is under increasing threat from its neighbors, women will lose what few rights they may have had in that part of the world, and gay people will be killed outright.

    Good job, Barack Obama!

And, yet, "progressive Zionists" continue to yammer at us about the great upwelling of democracy in the Arab world... which, needless to say, is much like the great upwelling of democracy in early 1930s Germany.

  2. "Obama Refers to Israel Concern Over Iran as 'Noise'

In an interview to air tonight on CBS's 60 Minutes, President Barack Obama will refer to Israel's concern over Iran's march toward a nuclear program as "noise."

"When it comes to our national security decisions -- any pressure that I feel is simply to do what's right for the American people. And I am going to block out -- any noise that's out there," Obama says, according to AFP."

    1. Thanks for this, Doodad.

That is a very interesting exchange.

I am actually less concerned about the "noise" comment than I am by the fact that Obama referred to Israel as "one of our closest allies in the region."

I wonder who he considers a closer ally?

Is not Israel our closest ally in the region and, if so, why does Barack Obama refuse to confirm that?

And just why is it that "progressive Zionists" are so strident in their support of a candidate who insists upon downgrading our relationship with that country?

I may write about this tomorrow or the next day.

      Maybe.
