Bomb A Little...Get a UNESCO Membership

After this weekend's bombings, the complicit UN still gives 'em a seat on UNESCO.

The United States, Canada and Germany voted against Palestinian membership. Brazil, Russia, China, India, South Africa and France voted in favour. Britain abstained. Huge cheers went up in Unesco after delegates voted to approve the membership Monday. One shouted "Long Live Palestine!" in French.

Maybe if they hit Tel Aviv next time, the UN will offer them the UN presidency.

UPDATE:

YES!!!!! The US DOES HAVE A BACKBONE!!!!

US cuts off $60M UNESCO funding over Palestinian vote

Washington follows through on threat to halt financial support to UN's Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization if it grants PA full-member status. UN Chief Ban warns of further fiscal ramifications.

  1. Wasn't UNESCO that declared the Cave of the Patriarch's to be an Islamic site?

    To heck with them.

  2. Well, this is the same organization that referred to the 12th-century Muslim physician and philosopher Musa bin Maimoun, so this is hardly surprising. That so-called Muslim physician and philosopher is better known as Maimonides, or, as I would call him, the Rambam (Rav Moshe ben Maimon). He's only the most important Jewish theologian and philosopher since the Talmudic era, if not of all time.
